This course is directed at those in the management
group who need to have a good understanding of the Zachman Framework in order
to direct an implementation of enterprise architecture. Those with an information
resource management and data administration background will find this course
essential to fitting their skills into the enterprise jigsaw puzzle. Object
oriented people will find the modelling construct changes refreshing while at
the same time be challenged by the binding issues. Project managers on the other
hand will find the some unique ideas of architecture and delivery. Business
managers will find their role as fundamental to the architecture process. All
in all we have attempted to meet the management needs of those serious about
the Zachman architecture.
Typical delegates include:
Delegates should have some knowledge of Enterprise Architecture. For those who do not, attendance of the two day seminar, Zachman Enterprise Architecture Part 1: Framework Fundamentals, presented by John Zachman, is highly recommended.

This seminar will explore how to strategically implement
Enterprise Architecture. It will look at how to bring together two apparently
opposing conditions the short term need to deliver a solution on time and
within budget, and the long term adaptability requirements of the enterprise.
The course examines the underlying constructs of the Zachman Framework and the
implications of 'Thinking Zachman' to give a more balanced view of the entire
enterprise.
Given that architecting an Enterprise is fundamental to the ongoing success of an organisation, this course has attempted to bring real world examples of what to do and not to do. The blending of consulting situations with the theory of the Zachman approach yields a most interesting set of practical guideposts to those working on engineering the enterprise.
