Transferred to EDS under the Department’s Eagle outsourcing contract in 1996 where he worked in the Architect’s team, had a brief spell as Testing Director, before rising to the position of Technical Director for the account, running a team of around 100 architects. Andrew Spanyi is the Managing Director of Spanyi International Inc., a consulting and training company that operates in the field of organizational and business process design. He is the author of the recently released book Business Process Management is a Team Sport: Play It to Win! Andrew has nearly two decades of experience in working with executive teams at major corporations. His current practice focuses on assisting executive teams in transforming the traditional way they tend to think about their business.

Steve Towers is the co-founder of and CEO of the Business Process Management Group a global business club (established in 1992) exchanging ideas and best practice in BPM and change management. The BPMG has now over 9,500 members across all continents and business sectors and leads the thinking in the BPM community. Steve is recognized internationally for his contribution to business process and change management, speaking and working throughout the world with leading organizations in the public and private sector.

Steve is also one of the four co-developers of the 8 Omega Framework for Business Process. An innovative approach to BPM and change that enables organizations large and small to embrace BPM in a structured and inclusive way. He is an active practitioner working at the leading edge of BPM and understands the realities of implementing large-scale change in often complex environments. His speaking engagements cover all continents over the last decade with an easy and yet incisive style geared to helping people directly test the ideas, experience and solutions from the BPMG. In his spare time Steve plays chess, counsels trauma victims and is a qualified psychotherapist.

Andrew Watson

Andrew Watson has overall responsibility for OMG's technology adoption process, and also chairs the Architecture Board, the group of distinguished technical contributors from OMG member organizations which oversees the technical consistency of OMG's specifications. From 1992 to 1996 he also chaired the OMG's Object Request Broker Task Force, which was responsible for the development and deployment of the CORBA 2 specification. Previously Andrew spent six years with the ANSA core team in Cambridge researching distributed object architectures, specialising in distributed object type systems.
