Pascal Laik is the Vice President of Oracle Master Data Management (MDM) Product Strategy. Ron Nicholls has worked for BT for 20 years, almost half of which has been in the area of data quality. BT has been practising MDM internally in particular, albeit in several guises, for many years. Most recently, Mr. Nicholls has had specific responsibility for customer name and address management across the organisation with responsibility for delivering the building block for central BT-wide address management. He has also worked in many closely related areas including CRM, High Street sales integration, major data migration projects and regulated product provisioning. Specifically, Back in 2000, Mr. Nicholls deployed the first internal Trillium process for cleansing, standardising and matching BT and non-BT names/addresses for a Marketing application. As a follow on, he helped he was instrumental in implementing a centralised address management capability, hooking into legacy applications to provide data to, and receive from, BT’s front office Siebel platforms to enhance and protect BT’s CRM investments.
