Christopher Bradley has spent over 26 years in the data management field, working for several blue-chip organisations in data management strategy, MDM, metadata management, data warehouse and business intelligence implementations.  Mr. Bradley first worked for the UK Ministry of Defence on several major naval database systems and on the development of the ICL Data Dictionary System (DDS).  His career includes Volvo as lead data base architect, and Thorn EMI as Head of Data Management.  Prior to IPL, Mr. Bradley worked in the Management Consultancy group of Coopers & Lybrand establishing the international Data Management specialist practice. During this time he worked upon and led many major assignments including data management strategies, data warehouse implementations and establishment of data governance structures. 

Currently, Mr. Bradley is principal management consultant at IPL, a UK based consultancy and has been working exclusively for several years with a British HQ’d super major energy company.  Within their Enterprise Architecture group, he has been developing a groupwide MDM strategy to ensure that common business practices and use of master data are promoted throughout the group.  This involved establishing a complete data management framework, evangelising the message to executive management world wide, developing governance and new business processes for MDM and developing and delivering training.

Ron Nicholls has worked for BT for 20 years, almost half of which has been in the area of data quality.  BT has been practising MDM internally in particular, albeit in several guises, for many years.  Most recently, Mr. Nicholls has had specific responsibility for customer name and address management across the organisation with responsibility for delivering the building block for central BT-wide address management.  He has also worked in many closely related areas including CRM, High Street sales integration, major data migration projects and regulated product provisioning.  Specifically, Back in 2000, Mr. Nicholls deployed the first internal Trillium process for cleansing, standardising and matching BT and non-BT names/addresses for a Marketing application.  As a follow on, he helped he was instrumental in implementing a centralised address management capability, hooking into legacy applications to provide data to, and receive from, BT’s front office Siebel platforms to enhance and protect BT’s CRM investments.  Mr. Nicholls now works in BT’s external consulting team (oneIT), helping to bring benefits to other organisations with this methodology.  This external focus provides a wider experience of how other organisations tackle similar MDM-related data quality issues.  Mr. Nicholls received his Production Engineering degree from the University of Aston in Birmingham.

An-Chan has worked with VisionWare since 2001, starting as a Technical Consultant and quickly working his way up to Technical Product Manager, and then on to his current position where he provides influential support for customers, helping to define their MDM/CDI strategy. He studied at Napier University in Edinburgh, where he gained a BEng in Software Engineering and a BEng in Engineering with Management. An-Chan is also a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer.

Thomas Ravn

Thomas Ravn is Platon’s lead consultant on MDM and the head of Platon’s MDM consulting department. He is also a significant contributor to Platon’s Information Management methodology, Platon Insight®. Mr. Ravn has extensive experience in solving MDM challenges and has been the Project Manager and advisor on several MDM projects with large International clients such as Grundfos, Arla Foods, and Uponor. He is an experienced presenter with appearances at IBM’s Information Integration Live conference in Las Vegas, Platon’s Data Quality Conference in Copenhagen, and at Deloitte’s MDM Value Day in Düsseldorf. Additionally, Mr. Ravn regularly teaches on Platon’s open courses on MDM. Mr. Ravn received his B.Sc. in Computer Science and his M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from Aalborg University.

Hagen Schaumkell has worked for more than 15 years at WestLB.  After various posts in Global Back Office and Risk Management, he started in 2001 to build up the bank's global anti-money laundering solutions as head of research and monitoring.  Mr. Schaumkell was a member of various workgroups including the expert group advising the EU commission on the EU sanction list in 2004, and also represented Germany regarding SWIFT's approach to establish the preconditions for banks to build an effective AML/CTF programme.  Mr. Schaumkell’s current activities are focused on extending and enhancing anti-money laundering services to other banks and customers.

As Customer & Channels Head for Turkcell, Altug Seven serves as the Business Lead for UCMA Programme Management. The goal of the UCMA (Unified Customer Management Architecture) Programme is to consolidate and renovate the IT infrastructure and BSS applications from the customer data and transactions perspective. Previously, Mr. Seven worked as the Technical Lead in UCMA Programme Management where he led the team for selection of the CRM/CDI product suite. During 2005-2006, he was also responsible for Turkcell’s customer database and surrounding systems technical design. Other major CDI-MDM experience in Mr. Seven’s 10 years at Turkcell includes Call Center and Reporting Applications Development, Customer Database Development Campaign Management Project, and Fulfillment Engine (Order Fulfillment). He received his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2001. After graduating from Robert College in 1990, Mr. Seven received his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 1994. He received his M.S. in Computer Engineering from Bosphorus University in 1997.

Gary Thomson is senior vice president and chief information officer for Choice Hotels International (NYSE:CHH), the second largest hotel franchise company in the world.  He is also an executive officer of the company. Thomson is based at the company’s Phoenix, Arizona regional headquarters, where he is responsible for all aspects of Choice’s information systems including design, development, operations, infrastructure and support.

Previously, Thomson served as vice president, information systems technologies for Choice where he led the transformation of various systems and the development of Choice's Internet and web technology.  He played an integral role in the creation and rollout of successful technologies to support Choice’s central reservation system, hotel property management systems, web sites, and Choice Privileges frequent guest program.  Prior to joining Choice, Thomson spent 11 years with AT&T Bell Laboratories in various technical and management positions.  Thomson began his career as a design engineer with Stromberg-Carlson, a telephone systems manufacturer, after graduating from the University of Memphis with a degree in electrical engineering.
