Rob Karel is a leading expert in how companies manage data and integrate information across the enterprise. His current research focus includes master data management, data quality management, metadata management, data governance, and data integration technologies, including ETL and EII. Rob has more than 14 years of data management experience, working in both business and IT roles to develop solutions that provide better quality, confidence in, and usability of critical enterprise data. Prior to joining Forrester, he managed Intuit's enterprise data quality initiatives and supported the implementation of Intuit's customer master reference system. Prior to Intuit, Rob managed the design and development of customer master and attribute management solutions for Cisco Systems. Earlier, Rob was research manager for the global mergers and acquisitions product group at Thomson Financial Securities Data (now Thomson Financial Investment Banking).

Gwen also serves as publisher of www.DataGovernance.com, the web’s largest collection of Data Governance information and humor, as well as publisher of www.SOX-online.com, the Vendor-Neutral Sarbanes-Oxley site. Gwen has designed Data Governance programmes for Sallie Mae, Wachovia Banks, Walt Disney World, Coors, NDCHealth/Wolters Kluwer, and others, working with IBM, systems integrator CIBER, and other partners. A frequent presenter at industry data events, Gwen is a columnist for z/Journal, on the presentation faculty for Institutional Investor, and is the author of Alpha Males and Data Disasters: The Case for Data Governance.
