Dear Colleagues, On behalf of DAMA International, I am pleased to announce the 2010 DAMA International Europe Conferences 3-5 November 2010. This is our 12th European Conference as DAMA continues to promote data management excellence. We fully expect that our 2010 conference will once again be the largest and most authoritative data management gathering in Europe. I sincerely believe that attending this conference gives you the most effective way to find out what is working in other organizations, discover which vendors have the latest tools and techniques, and hear how our profession is growing and changing to accommodate new ideas and strategies. Some of your favourite presenters will be speaking about initiatives such as Cloud Computing, Unstructured Data, Mashups, Developing EIM as a Business Program, Practical Metadata Strategies, and Implementing Data Governance. In addition we have new presentations on Practical Data Management, The Latest Challenges to Data Management Professionals, Communicating with Business Areas, Data Migration, Business Semantics and many others. In 2010, data is even more important to corporations as they continue to struggle to survive in a world-wide downturn in the economy. Business processes need organized, quality data to sustain a competitive advantage. Critical new initiatives to ensure that the data asset is effectively managed call upon Data Management professionals to lead these enterprise-critical functions. This year's conference will help Data Management professionals learn the techniques, tools, methods, and processes which have been successful for their colleagues and can be implemented in their own organizations. In addition to the many sessions and tutorials, networking with other professional colleagues is often cited as one of the most important reasons to attend. You will find that other attendees, along with our speakers, are accessible and willing to share their ideas and solutions throughout the conference. The event features speakers from many countries, with a wide variety of backgrounds, experience and knowledge. DAMA International is pleased to host two conference tracks as well as seven tutorial sessions. In addition, the DAMA UK chapter will have a meeting during the conference and they invite interested parties to join this vital and growing chapter. DAMA International and its affiliated chapters have grown year after year with new chapters being formed in Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America. More information can be found at www.dama.org or you can email me at president@dama.org. The DAMA International Europe Conference is proud to be co-located with the Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Conference and the Information Quality Conference. Delegates will receive a CD-ROM containing all tutorials and all conference track sessions for the entire event which will be a great resource as you return to your organization. I hope you will join me and your colleagues for a very exciting, informative and rewarding experience starting November 3, 2010 in London.

Dear Colleague, On behalf of IRM UK Strategic Training in the UK and myself, thank you for your interest in the Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence Conference Europe 2010. Last year, the first edition of the Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence European Conference was a big success, more than 200 delegates showed up. Evaluations showed that the attendees were very pleased with the selected speakers, topics and setup of the conference. The 2010 edition is aimed at all aspects of data warehousing and business intelligence. The DW&BI conference will focus on aspects such as: trends, design guidelines, product overviews and comparisons, best practices, and new evolving technologies. In addition, this 2010 edition will again be co-located with the DAMA International European Conference and Information Quality Conferences. This has proved, over the past years, an extremely effective and rewarding combination for participants. We aim to ensure that the joint conference is a wonderful opportunity for those interested in data warehousing, business intelligence, information quality, data modelling, and data management to meet and exchange experiences as well as to hear top-notch speakers concentrate on this essential area of IT. Participants of all our past conferences have particularly praised the concentration upon these topics. Two parallel tracks are devoted to data warehousing and business intelligence. Like the previous years we have invited world renowned speakers, including Colin White, Barry Devlin, Mike Ferguson and John Ladley. We have also continued the successful approach we adopted over previous years, whereby the first day offers you the opportunity to attend tutorials on the true cost of business intelligence, dimensional modelling fundamentals, data warehouse appliances, and an overview of the various business intelligence architectures. These tutorials provide a foundation for the following two days. The topics I have selected form a balanced mix. Some are case studies, others are more generic sessions, some topics are more classic and others deal with modern issues. All of them are presented by independent speakers. Together, the program we have constructed for you provides an unparalleled source of information on data warehousing and business intelligence in real life, with examples of the experiences of practitioners. It features a selection of international speakers from both the USA and Europe with a proven reputation both for their ability to inform and educate, but also entertain. This conference will also provide you with an ideal opportunity to meet other delegates with their own problems, experiences and solutions. We all hope you will join us for what promises again to be an exciting and immensely valuable experience. We hope you value the emphasis on the new areas where business intelligence will play a crucial role. We look forward to seeing you in London in November.
