Case Study: Architecture On-ramp – Developing the Culture, Knowledge and Vision for Success The most significant barriers to architecture success are non-technical. Overcoming these barriers is the critical first step in creating an environment for architecture success. At Glaxo Wellcome Research, these environmental challenges were addressed by creating a compelling vision for the future, developing a broad base of architecture awareness and creating an inclusionary culture between architects, IT staff and management. This session will address the challenges architecture team leaders face at start-up, and provide insight from the Glaxo Wellcome experience. |

Case Study: IT Architecture – one size doesn’t fit all. . . Most organisations are not a uniform body focussed on a single process, but a collection of groups with perse needs. AWE is an environment where high levels of regulation co-exist with research and development and security. In the past, we have tried to implement a uniform architecture across the organisation, but this has not worked. This talk describes the different architectures we need to accommodate acceptable levels of persity, and how they can interact. |
