Henrik Benthien

Chris Britton

Chris joined Unisys in 1976 from the civil service, and has worked variously doing programming, technical support, system software design, program management, technical consultancy, marketing and sales support. His early speciality was in fixing very large, very broken databases. During the 1980s he spent some time in Californian working on the A Series SIM – Semantic Information Manager – product, the first and only commercial semantic database product.

His current main interest is middleware and IT architectures, in particular, how to turn a good application model into a good implementation design. On this subject he has written a book called "IT Architecture and Middleware: strategies for building larger, scalable systems" (Addison-Wesley) and often speaks on the subject.

Bob Dibb

Having studied Electronics at Portsmouth University, Bob joined IBM in 1975 responsible for planning and implementing IBM’s own international data network. This involved travelling around the world installing network nodes and in training local technicians. During his time in IBM, Bob has managed many major projects including IBM’s first transatlantic satellite link, planning IT infrastructure in new building complexes etc. Bob then moved into a marketing role, first with IBM’s Networking business, and, three years ago into the Global Business Intelligence Solutions area responsible for marketing activities across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Dominique-Bernard Guillemet

Dominique-Bernard has a scientific background (engineering qualification). He started his career in the IT Dept of Rank Xerox, in charge of technical support of on-line monitor software (mainframe environment). He then joined the IT department of a pharmaceutical wholesaler, in charge of IT operations.

Dominique-Bernard joined PSA Peugeot-Citroën 10 years ago, successively in charge of technical support teams (mainframe and distributed environment), lead infrastructure or operations projects (consolidation of data centre, merging environment etc.). He is currently in charge of the Enterprise Architecture entity, which was created in April 2000.

Prior to joining META Group in June 1999, he was consulting and integration services manager (Europe, Middle East, and Asia) at Dell. Previously, he held senior management positions at various companies, including AT&T (Europe, Middle East, and Asia), Digital Equipment, and Hewlett-Packard. Bjorn also researched and promoted emerging network and object-oriented technologies on behalf of The Open Group, SPAG (Standard Promotion and Application Group), OSITOP (the premier user group in Europe), and EMUG (electronic messaging user group). As a business manager, he was formerly export manager at Rhone-Poulenc and consultant in franchising for a French restaurant company. Bjorn received his M.B.A. from University of Economics and Business Administration (St. Gallen, Switzerland).

John Zackman   

John A. Zachman
Zachman International

John is the originator of the "Framework for Enterprise Architecture" which has received broad acceptance around the world as an integrative framework, or "periodic table" of descriptive representations for Enterprises. He is not only known for this work on Enterprise Architecture, but is also known for his early contributions to IBM’s Information Strategy methodology as well as to their Executive team planning techniques.

He retired from IBM in 1990, having served them for 26 years. He is Chief Executive Officer of the Zachman Institute for Framework Advancement (ZIFA); an organisation dedicated to advancing the conceptual and implementation states of the art in Enterprise Architecture. He also operates his own education and consulting business, Zachman International.
