their approach, this seminar will cover foundational topics

Workshop
2 (Half Day): Introduction to the Zachman Framework for Enterprise
Architecture
This seminar
provides a chance to learn the basics of the Zachman Framework
from John Zachman himself. It will cover the rationale for
Enterprise Architecture, the basic logic behind the Zachman
Framework, and the set of descriptive representations of the
enterprise that the Framework defines.

3 (Half Day): Bridging Zachman Theory with Implementation
In this
interactive seminar, Stan Locke will build on the concepts
described in John Zachman’s morning session to discuss
some of the implementation implications and approaches to
making enterprise architecture a reality in an enterprise,
using the Zachman Framework as a base. |
Workshop
4 (Full Day): SOA and Business Service Architecture Principles
This workshop
provides an introduction to the core principles and techniques
used to develop a Service Architecture. Aimed at Enterprise
Architects, Project leaders, IT managers and others who require
an understanding of SOA principles and who may supervise the
architecture and delivery of the IT providing Business Services. |

5: (Half Day): Governance and Enterprise Architecture - Making
Sense of the Enterprise Governance Ecosystem
In this
workshop, attendees will learn how to develop solid EA Governance
mechanisms and explore the relationship of EA with other major

6 (Half Day): Achieving the Promise of Enterprise Architecture
This workshop
will explore how Enterprise Architects can deliver sustainable
business benefits to their organisation, how to demonstrate
that value to their customers and assess what capabilities
the architecture function needs to ensure success in this

Note:
Workshops
2 and 3 provide a concise overview of Zachman Framework Theory and
Practice for architects and business and IT managers. Workshops
5 and 6 provide a 1-day programme for EA practioners and managers
who have progressed beyond the basics and are looking to ensure
cross-functional integration and maximize the value from their architecture
effort. However, attendees may take any combination of these half-day
workshops, with the proviso that people attending workshop 3 have
a reasonable understanding of the Zachman Framework.
