Dr. Irad Ben-Gal, Tel-Aviv University
Dr. Ben-Gal is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Tel-Aviv University. He holds a Ph.D. degree from Boston University. Dr. Ben-Gal is a member of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS) and is the head of the Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) lab. He worked for several years in various industrial organisations, as a consultant and as a project manager.

Mr. Finkelstein, the "Father" of Information Engineering (IE), is Managing Director of Information Engineering Services Pty Ltd in Australia. Steven Sparkes, Reuters Limited
Mr. Sparkes joined Reuters in 1990. In 1996 he was tasked with setting up a QC function and a year later was appointed Manager of the Equities Quality Assurance Group for European Equities. In 1999 he was responsible for the merger of two Quality Groups to form a broad-based team focusing on the principles of Continuous Improvement in the European Information Management Group. Takaaki Tsubaki, Data Research Institute
Mr. Tsubaki is chief consultant at Data Research Institute, Tokyo. He is a co-chair person of the Researching Committee on Data Warehouse and Data Quality at Data Research Institute. He is a regular speaker at Data Warehouse and Data Quality seminars held bimonthly at DRI. In 1995, he worked on a project that assured the quality of a data model consisting of 2,000 entities and 12,000 attributes. Dr. John Woulds, Data Protection Act Registrar
Dr. Woulds is Director of Operations at the Data Protection Act Registrar, the supervisory authority established in the United Kingdom under the 1998 Data Protection Act. He has been in the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (previously the Data Protection Registrar) since March 1985. As Director of Operations he is a member of the Commissioner's Management Board and has responsibility for all operational aspects of the work of the Commissioner's Office. This includes notification, assessment casework, investigations, compliance casework and policy advisory work in all sectors. He also has management responsibility for the Commissioner's role in freedom of information. Prior to his appointment with the Data Protection Commissioner, he worked for several years in computer management in scientific computing centres.

Ms. Young joined Reuters France in 1982 and transferred to the UK database division in 1988, where she worked on the archival of closing price history for European Equities. Appointed to the Global Strategic Data Quality Group from 1997 to 1999, where she was responsible for developing and managing a data quality audit programme. Transferred to the Business Performance Group in 1999, where she is now involved in process identification and improvement activities in the European data production environment.
